Tuesday is prep day for our bakery . Getting ready to prep pastry doughs and ancient grain sourdough.

Scones , sourdough , danish’s, croissants , turnovers, and cookie dough will be prepped today and tucked in the fridge to “rest” and relax before baking up.

⭐️ Any guesses how much butter we go through each week ? 🧈

We have a small menu but we make sure we find the best ingredients so you can feel good about eating with us.

🥓 bacon / sausage : harvested right from our little farm

Current stock on whipped tallow lotions. Our tallow lotions are hand made , in house by Bee :) we use grass fed beef tallow from Valley Springs Farm Fresh Beef organic olive oil and organic coconut oil with pure 100% skin safe essential oils. All over lotion can be used from head to toes and everything in between.

Sometimes you need a friends that’s not scared to stick their hands in 1,000 box elder bugs.

Solution : I found this homemade bug spray online and figured I’d give it a try. Its harvest season bugs are EVERYWHERE.
I filled a spray bottle 3/4 of the way with warm water , added a tsp of dawn dishsoap and 10 drops of mint essential oils. Sprayed as much as we could reach on the back of the building , spread inside the door frame around the top and bottom of the door. HUGE IMPROVEMENT. The soap kills them the mint repels them. I’m keeping this on hand and reapplying every other day. Try it if you have these bugs !

Harvest day. We usually schedule humane harvest on the farm but they were booked sooo far out. We took this date with the Baraboo meat market. Truck broke down , can’t haul too much with the , but we got it done. I’m always sad leaving.
