My pumpkin whoopie pies are definitely one of those. A labor of love…emphasis on the labor.

If you follow me, you know I like to share more than just the bakery with you, so keep reading!
(It's long...sorry!)

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now as just a cute and fun little idea, but I just haven’t found the time (or rather, haven’t made the time) to get it done.

But after the events of last week, I decided to make time. It’s been a heavy week, and I thought maybe I could brighten someone’s day with a really simple tiny gesture.

So from now through New Year’s, as we get into those cold, cozy winter months, I’m going to have FREE hot cocoa bundles available for anyone who wants one.

Each little packet has a milk chocolate cocoa packet, a chocolate bar, and two peppermint puffs...everything you need for a cozy cup of hot chocolate. ☕️🍫 (don't worry, it's all gluten-free! 🤍)

And I truly mean anyone.

I don’t care if you’re 8 or 80.
I don’t care if you’re a customer or you’ve never bought a single thing from me.
I don’t care if you’ve had the worst day ever or you’re having the best day ever.
I don’t care if you can’t afford to buy your kids hot cocoa or you could buy them a whole aisle of it.

Live in the neighborhood? Come by.

Driving through Redmond? Come by.

Teachers-grab a packet to enjoy in the classroom!

Driving teens-swing by before/after school or practice!

Grab one for your kids or a student...or bring them by after a rough day at school. Grab one for yourself. Take one as a little gift. Drop one on a neighbor’s doorstep. Save one for a snowy afternoon after sledding. Whatever you want to do with it. 🩷

I’m going to keep these stocked all winter long, and there’s absolutely no purchase necessary.
I just want to give a little something back. And maybe, in turn, it will encourage someone else to do a little something for someone, too.

I really, really hope this takes off, because sometimes I think the smallest things can mean more than we realize. (And I bought hundreds for you, so I expect to see your smiling faces! 🫵☺️)

2 YEARS at Schoolhouse! 🥳

Schoolhouse was my very first retail location that took a chance on me and my little bakery. My cookies -and more- made their debut there ON Halloween back in 2024, and I am so thankful to Heidi and her awesome crew there for greeting me each week with their smiles!!

Fall brings all the soups, chili, and cozy meals.
We always do some version of a crock-pot chili or soup for Halloween dinner. It's been a tradition since my kids were young, so we could head out trick-or-treating early evening, then come home to a nice big slow-cooking pot of yumminess to warm us up.

And what goes with soup or chili?

Cornbread. Oh how I've missed it. 😭

The box mix versions just aren't that great, so these scratch made GF Honey Cornbread Muffins are for both me AND you! Golden on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and just sweet enough. These took some time to perfect, but it was worth the headaches and the (several) test bakes over the last few weeks that were a "nope, not quite." If I can tell it's gluten-free, I don't want it. 😆
But I finally got them here, and they are so good!! I'm excited to share them with you.
Cornbread also makes excellent croutons, stuffing, a crumble on top of a casserole, a breading for chicken, and more-so I can't wait to use it in so many ways during the "BER" months! 🥶

I just added them to next week's menu (Halloween weekend!) so you can grab a 4 pack to enjoy with your cozy meal, too. 🎃👻

Oh my goodness, you guys. 🥹

This was just a small little thing I thought I could do to hopefully make a tiny difference, and you guys completely exceeded my expectations.
I was able to raise just over $200 just by baking cookies!

There were $307 in total sales, plus someone generously donated another $50 directly to the cause. Thank you. Seriously. I know $200 isn't going to fix anything, but I'm grateful I could do something small, and I'm even more grateful that you guys jumped in and helped me make it happen.
