This is why we save our junk.

Nellie was baking in the sun during the day, so i took the roof from my old chicken coop and a few 2x4s from my old porch and covered her outdoor enclosure. Now she doesn't have to be in her dog house to get away from the rain or the sun and she can watch her chickens while they free range during the day.

Is it pretty, no. Is it functional, yes!
