Let’s talk GUT health!

Sourdough is great for your gut because it’s naturally fermented, which means it’s packed with probiotics—the good bacteria that help balance your digestive system. The long fermentation process also breaks down some of the gluten and makes it easier for your body to absorb nutrients. Plus, it’s full of fiber, which keeps things moving smoothly in your stomach.

🌟What is your name and where are you from?
Carolina Salinas Pape
Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, México

🌟When did you become interested in baking sourdough?
In February 2024, after struggling to make my own, Jes gave me some of hers and taught me how to make sourdough. Also, until trying sourdough - I was unable to digest regular conventional bread. With Sourdough, my gut has an easier time digesting!

🌟What is your favorite flavor and why?Cinnamon raisin is my favorite flavor. I love having it with my coffee every morning. And most importantly my kids love it!

🌟What is something you want people to know about sourdough/Tilily?
Sourdough is not like empty, industrial bread. It's a living thing. This is what makes it healthier but it's also what makes baking it an art and science! We are enjoying the process! It’s so satisfying hearing that people love our bread!

🌟What are your favorite hobbies or interests?
Making bread and other fermented foods, gardening, walking my dogs in the town forest, and practicing yoga
