Over the years I have continued to try new things and always brought my experiments to work. After a while, people started requesting my cookies and cakes. Then, people started paying me a little for the goodies. With a lot of encouragement from my coworkers, family, and friends, I decided to give my small business a go! I bake out of my home after my full time work as a school-based speech langua
ge pathologist and usually after my own 2 daughters (5 & 2 years) go to bed. It makes for some late nights, but I thoroughly enjoy the process and outlet to create that baking and decorating bring me. I take great pride in my work to ensure it really does taste as good as it looks. I do not use fondant, but can make some pretty sweet buttercream creations. I use a combination of cookie glaze and royal icing for my cookies, which are a shortbread base. I love being challenged and will try just about anything.
