I try to push boundaries in what I make and normally 'mash' recipes to create something fun and find new taste profiles.

Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend! It's a total scorcher today...make sure to drink plenty of water and try to stay at least somewhat cool!

Shemakes won't be at the Raymore Farmer's Market this week...and likely not next week. There is a ton happening this week, and my partner in crime is out next week. Look for us to be back August 4th. :)

Happy post 4th! It was definitely a heater! And there were so many fireworks...we had a 360-degree show from our driveway! :)

Come check out shemakes at the Raymore Farmer's Market today from 4 to 7! There are a couple new items: Spanish Almond Cake and Brownies. :) :) :) They both turned out amazing!

Happy Tuesday y'all!

Ever have one of those months where you just can't quite seem to get ahead, and barely manage the "One Day at a Time" mantra!? That's been our June...lol. Fortunately, it's the last day of the month and I'm bound and determined to have an even-keeled July! (Right...lol).

Come check us out tonight (I know, late notice) and for as many of the Tuesdays as we can rustle) at Raymore Farmer's Market! We'd love to see as many folks possible stop in and say hello!

Steve will be there the first couple hours, and I'll join him in a bit...just remind him to drink water if you stop in! lol. It's a hot one for sure!!!

Looking forward to seeing as many folks as possible - and hopefully, making some new friends!

It's so fun playing with new recipes, and finding new ways for current ones. I'd never even tasted key lime pie before, but it tuned out pretty well. And the little red velvet bundles are too cute for words. Still need to add a glaze or frosting, but couldn't resist getting a pic.

Another fun birthday cake for a friend...and the first time playing with multi-color frosting. Not too horrible for the first run at it.

So love playing with new recipes! A good friend ordered these, and they were fun to make. This Spanish Almond cake is so wonderful, incredibly moist and works with any dish! Annnndddd, it's naturally gluten-free and dairy-free.
