On Oct. 1, 1960, Elmer Butz opened DeLuxe Pastry Shop in downtown Ravenna after selling his half of Butz & Markusson Bakery Supply. Guided by his son, Jim, who owned Pioneer Home Bakery in Akron, Elmer began to supply Ravenna and Portage County with quality baked goods. Jim's son, Mike, started working full-time at the bakery on Jan. 1, 1970. The three generations worked together until Elmer's dea

th in 1975. Jim continued to run the bakery until his semi-retirement in 1993. At that time, Mike and his wife, Jane, bought the bakery and continue the family traditions to this day. While some tastes change with each new generation, and while trends come and go, DeLuxe Pastry Shop's yeast-raised doughnuts remain the same. From the dough to the icing, they're made from scratch. The most popular doughnuts are the cream sticks, however the glazed doughnuts, cake doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, jelly-filled, custard-filled and danish are also favorites. DeLuxe Pastry Shop also offers a full range of cakes, pies, cookies, specialty breads and coffee.

Hey everyone! I have some bad news. Due to David's rapidly deteriorating medical condition and lack of staff to take his place, we are closing for good, effective immediately. I wish we could have made it all we wanted it to be, but this is the best decision for our family at this time. I cannot stress enough how grateful I am for our loyal customers and staff. Couldn't have done it without you!

We've run into issues lately
So I'll make it clear
We do not deliver at this time
We do not have grubhub as an option
We never agreed to this.
They have outdated and wrong prices on their site so please do not order through them at this time.

On another note,
We also have the beautiful deluxe mugs
Back in for father's day.
Hurry they go fast.
What else could he want for the day.

We will be OPEN on Fat Tuesday from 7am-1pm!! We have been working on a recipe since last year and we've been able to create something really delicious and closer to traditional paczki! We will be closed Wednesday, December 2nd due to weather. The hazardous road conditions that our staff would have to navigate in the late night/early morning hours is not a risk we're willing to take. We'll live to make donuts another day.
