🚨 Friendly Reminder 🚨

Hey everyone! Just a quick heads up — we will NOT be at the Rathdrum Farmers Market this weekend, but we’ll be back next Saturday and ready to serve you again!

We also know today is the grand opening of the Kootenai County Farmers Market, and many of you may be heading out there. We want to remind everyone that we are no longer part of that market. Over the past couple years, there were a lot of changes behind the scenes that led us to step away. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one for our family and our business.

We hope you continue to follow and support us over at the Rathdrum market — a market that truly cares about family and its vendors. We can’t wait to see you all again next weekend and get back to serving up your favorite aebleskivers.

Vendors are being sought for what is being described as the first curriculum-based, kid-friendly Farmers Market at Hayden Charter School on Government Way.

The market is planned for every Friday from May 1 through September, running from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and organizers say it will feature food trucks, an enclosed playground, shopping, and activities for families.

Organizers say there is a strong need right now for plant and vegetable vendors, including those offering fruit trees, plants, starters, vegetables, and sprouts. They are also looking for craft vendors who make their own products.

❤️ WE’RE BACK, FRIENDS ❤️

After a long break, our aebleskiver booth is officially back in action and we are so excited to serve you again.

This time, you’ll find us at our new home with the Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market, Inc, alongside The Hungry Squatch this Saturday. The market has recently featured The Hungry Squatch at Rathdrum events, and the market is run in partnership with the The Rathdrum Lions Club. (rathdrumcraftandfarmersmarket.blogspot.com)

We are incredibly thankful to be stepping into a place that feels welcoming, supportive, and full of community. That means more to our family than we can say.

Family Update from Northwest Aebleskivers

While we’re taking a short break from popping fresh aebleskivers, we’re still very much in the food world — just in a different way for the moment.

Our other family-run business, The Hungry Squatch, is officially kicking off its 2026 season!

They’ll be at their new home at the Hello Spring Craft Show with Rathdrum Craft & Farmers Market:

If you’re craving smashed burgers, golden fried cheese curds, and crispy fries, this is where you’ll want to be.

It’s a new season and a new location for that side of our family business, and we’re excited to see it grow.

❤️ To Our Dear Customers and the KCFM Family ❤️

For 13 beautiful years, our whole family has had the joy of serving you at the Kootenai County Farmers Market — from our homemade aebleskivers to Hungry Squatch burgers and cheese curds. Every weekend with you felt like coming home.

It is with heavy hearts that we share this: our family will no longer be at the market.

This was **not our choice**. The market has chosen to go in a different direction, and after 13 years of deep love, loyalty, and volunteer service, we have been asked to step away from our permanent booth which includes our reasoning for not returning on principle.

We want you to know how deeply grateful we are for every smile, every kind word, and every time you came back to see us. You made this market feel like family, and we will miss you more than words can say.

We've got some bad news and some good news. The bad news is that we won't be at the farmers market tomorrow, which means no aebleskivers for you this weekend. The good news is we will be back next weekend armed with hot pans and a plethora of flavors to make up for lost time.
