We have an exciting update to share! We were approached with the opportunity to purchase Appalachian Sage on Washington Street! This transition has already begun, with the sale being finalized April 1. We strongly believe this step nests within our vision of providing authentic hospitality and nourishing food to our community. We are renaming this wonderful place Wildberry Market. This was an exciting opportunity for us and we can’t wait to continue and expand upon the wonderful foundation laid by Sarah Littlefair and her family. ALSO, of great importance: our lease at the Haywood’s restaurant in town is coming to an end. Our last day in that space will be April 19th. Instead of our original plan of a door to door transition to our new building in Lexington, we will temporarily move the full cafe operation into Wildberry Market until the new building renovation is complete. While this is unexpected, it is going to be a very special time with both businesses colocated at 9 E Washington Street! The Lord provided an amazing solution with Wildberry Market playing host to Seasons’ Yield Cafe and we are excited to share that new space with you. For those of you who have not visited, 9 E Washington, is just one block over from the current cafe. We will send many reminders between now and then, but our first day of joined operations will be the 22nd of April!
