SUMMER WEEKLY BAKES

I have been MIA being a teacher and not that I’m on summer break, I intend on offering weekly bakes with porch pick up. Stay tuned for what’s being offered weekly. This week I will be doing confetti dot cakes individual serving sized and mini loaf sizes. Pick up starts Wednesday night!! Thursday morning only.

I am currently working on vegan muffins, and other items just for fun so stay tuned for that too!

People don’t realize that you build a family over the school year and then you have to say good bye. This year has had its challenges for sure. Through my continued faith and strength here we are saying good bye to each other. Some of these kiddos I was privileged to teach for 2 years. I have seen amazing growth in all of my students. I am so proud of them all. Through laughter, jokes, being serious when you need to be and consistency, we all learned together! My favorite time with them If I had to choose one thing would be our morning routine. I share devotions each day and talk about God. Our buckets and our journaling. They gave me so many hugs this year! Lifted me up when I didn’t know I needed it. I had one student come in and ask to pray with me every morning there for a while and that was a pretty special moment for him and I. I can’t wait wait to see where this next phase in their education careers take them. Time to fly my little eaglets you got this!!

I am blessed, grateful and honored to have this opportunity to teach here at Colton Christian school.
Will Mrs Castillo be returning in the fall? Only God knows that plan and whatever his plan is, I’m here to serve and do what is needed.

My families weekly bake for the week ahead. Sourdough & jalapeño cheese cornbread for some meal prepping. Up early like I’m heading to school 🫣 so I might as well prep and bake my weekly bake now. I am always baking something on a weekly basis. Baking something makes me happy.

Teacher vibes be vibing. 2026 is coming to a close and I will miss these kiddos. I do need my break tho I won’t be lying about that. POOL SIDE, BEACH DAYS, GYM SESSIONS, BAKING, and chilling out.

Blue ribbon and best in class at the LA county fair. This is such exciting news for me guys. This was episode 8 cake from the blue ribbon baking championship and I decided to enter it in my home town. I even win cash prize apparently but all I really care about is that blue ribbon win.

When you get to hang out with the best human around!! Little bit of country vibes at 123 Farms guys. If you want something fun and cute to do this farm has all the vibes. I will be back for sure for other events. Chandeliers hanging from trees twinkling lights everywhere vendor set up great food great music I mean it was really a vibe. It’s literally their first rodeo at the farm and I’m glad I got to join the fun with my little bestie Nathan!! It’s always such a vibe seeing him he’s kinda stuck with me foreva!!

This ain’t your regular ole banana bread folks. Brown butter chocolate chip walnut banana bread. I had over ripe bananas on the counter and came home super stressed out so I went straight to baking banana bread and started a sour dough loaf. All is right in the world again after a very stressful day on campus.
