Thank you to everyone who came out to support Freshly Baked by Meg at our pop-up. Your turnout and enthusiasm meant so much to us.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to explain how we determine how much product to bring to an event. We do not have a brick and mortar location which makes it imperative that we correctly estimate how much product to make for a pop up. When we fail to estimate correctly our hard work goes to waste. There is no guarantee that anyone will buy it after the fact, including our wholesale partners. We look at the number of sales for each pop up over the last year as a guide to tell me how much to prepare. Last night’s event even had the added benefit of being a repeat from last year, where we made 15 sales.
Many of you waited hours, and we didn’t have enough baked goods for everyone. You gave us your time and came excited to bring home something delicious. Leaving empty-handed after such a long wait was disappointing, and we never want to be a source of disappointment. We weren’t prepared for the turnout, and we want the chance to make this right.
