Pies over cakes 🥧

This couple chose to do fruit pies instead of cake for their wedding and I have to say; I love this idea! Always said I would do the exact same thing, so this was almost like a test run.

My favorite time of year has arrived 🍓 Nothing can beat fresh berries grown at a farm just miles away. These beauties are from gross_farms in Sanford, NC and tasted even better than they look.

These berries, a mix of others, and vanilla bean buttercream filled layers of vanilla almond cake slices for a triangledivorcelawyers dinner at second_empire_restaurant that I had the honor of catering.

Our rich double chocolate cookie dough filled with fresh raspberry sauce, topped with a swirl of fresh raspberry mousse, freeze dried raspberries, and flecks of gold leaf.

A little surprise to end your January before
we release our Valentine’s Day collection! We have
been working hard on our rebrand and are very excited
to finally announce it!

Our new name came from our owner Katie’s great
grandmother and cookie connoisseur! Carmella (aka
Cookie Grandma) moved her family from Sicily to the
United States many decades ago in search for a better
life and Katie wanted to continue her legacy by
fostering community, spreading love, and of course
making cookies!

We will continue to offer our decadent gourmet
cookies, but now with a luxurious experience! In the
coming months, we will focus on sourcing local
farmers and producers to highlight the amazing flavors
and ingredients North Carolina has to offer as well as
continuing to enact sustainable practices at
Carmella’s.

Many exciting things are coming this year and this
rebrand is only the beginning! What are you hoping we
do? Anywhere you want to see us or cookie flavors
you’ve been dreaming of? Let us know, our ears are
always open!
