It’s a new month, which means it’s time to give another kiddo a little extra sweetness on their birthday! 🥹🧁

Through my Birthday Project, I’m hoping to bless a child in our community with a birthday cake, completely free of charge. Every kid deserves to feel special on their birthday, and if I can help make that day a little sweeter, that’s exactly what I want to do. 🖤

A red velvet cake with buttercream frosting, decorated in the cutest pink and green Barbie-inspired design with chocolate covered strawberries to add a little extra touch ✨🎀

The very first Dead Beat Bakery Birthday Project cakes are officially finished and ready for pickup later today! 🎂🥹❤️

This one is extra special because it’s the first donation cakes for my Birthday Project, and I’m so excited to be able to help make two sweet kiddos’ birthdays a little bit more special. 🥰🎉

This is a two tier marble cake with homemade buttercream icing, made with lots of love and, of course, plenty of buttercream! 😂🎂

There’s something so special about being able to take something I love doing and use it to give back. I hope these cakes bring a little extra happiness to two very special birthdays. ❤️

This is just the beginning of the Dead Beat Bakery Birthday Project, and I can’t wait to see how many little birthdays we can make a little sweeter. 🎂🎈

🎂🖤 AUGUST BIRTHDAY PROJECT WINNER! 🖤🎂

We have officially chosen our August recipients for the Dead Beat Bakery Birthday Project! 🥹🎉

I wasn’t able to choose a July recipient because, between my work schedule and a busy month of cake orders, life got a little crazy. But I didn’t forget about this project or the reason I started it. 🖤

I’ve decided to keep these recipients and their story completely private out of respect for their family. Just know that this cake is going two extraordinary kids that are very deserving. I’m incredibly grateful to be able to make their birthday a little sweeter. 🎂🥰

I also HAVE to give a huge, heartfelt shoutout to my employer, American Kolache - Quincy, IL, and my boss, Derek, for donating toward this month’s birthday cake. 🖤

You have no idea how good it feels to have your own boss support your dream. Dead Beat Bakery is something I’ve built from the ground up and poured so much of my heart into, so having that support means more than I can put into words.

It truly is a blessing to have people believe in your dream and help you turn it into something that can bless someone else. 🖤
