We the members of St. John Primitive Baptist Church Choir, Midway Fl would like to thank everyone for coming out in full force to support yesterday. We truly appreciate each of you. Thanks for the donations to those who felt it in your spirit to just give, and those who spread the word or shared a post, we truly appreciate you as well. "Don't sell yourself short"

Back in February I decided to bake my own birthday cake, specialized to my liking. Not to toot my own horn, but it truly was delicious. It was meant to be a one time, one of a kind cake, made by me only for me, meaning not made for sale or added to the website. Why: because of the price I would have to sell it for, and that's the only reason. Well since February, I've had so many complements, inquiries, and request to purchase. After declining requests, my husband said, "just price the cake and if anybody else wants it, sell it, they will pay for it if they want it." I was still hesitant, but I recently had another request. Confident in my cake but hesitant in the price, my statement to the next customer wanting it was "If you want it, I can make it , but it's pretty pricey". Customer response " I know it's delicious and my wife wants it and she's worth more than whatever the price is ". I gave him my price, he said that's fine. I headed to my website, added and priced the item. As soon as I told him it was added, he went to the site and paid the full price and a tip. The moral of this is: Don't sell yourself short, charge your worth and if they want it, they will pay for it. Therefore, for now on, if I'm not running a sale, every item will be sold as priced. Comments like " $6 for a slice, $45 for a cake, $5 for a candy apple, that's to much, I can make my own, I can buy it at publix cheaper-you can't cause it's not homemade, and all the other comments I hear" my response: ok, thank you have a nice day, go ahead so the customer who understands can come on. Thank you to every customer and to the person who knew the worth of me and my cake. I appreciate you! (I will not state customers names on my post without consent).❤️🎂🎂
