Did someone say European Antiques? ✨✨✨

Brian and I spent a night in Amish Country…a Christmas gift from my in-laws. It was so peaceful and serene. We slept with the windows open listening to the stillness and sounds of nature.

We spent Monday driving from little town to little town. Brian was the driver and navigator and I was simply along for the ride. He first took me to Millersburg.

We parked the car and the moment I got out, the Alyssa | European Inspired Living was the very first thing I saw. I was so excited because I had shopped here before, but it had been years! I was even more excited because it was 9 something on a Monday morning and they were OPEN!!!

Technically, they open at 10, but the girl that was working said sometimes she likes to get there a little earlier because she knows people are out and about.

The Cottonwood Shanty is so damn dreamy. Honestly, I just had to take a moment (a long moment) to look at every piece of beautifulness.

I fell in love with a stack of vintage wood crates. They were more than I wanted to spend, but based on my recent shopping, real French antiques were starting to make their way into my decor at home. I knew I had to have this authentic, vintage, chippy, warm, creamy white crate.

With the holidays upon us, I know I will use it first in my holiday decor. It may even make an appearance at the coffee shop!

I love finding beautiful and unique shops and I love even more when they stick around for years! I see that they’re opening a second location in New Albany!

Dining on the porch at Nemo Grille is always a beautiful idea ✨ Last night I shared a beautiful 2 hour dinner with my mom. Just me and her… The temperature was absolutely perfect, the sun kissed the space just perfectly and I just kept thinking how beautiful my mom is.

I ordered my favorite dish, the scallops and she went for the clam & shrimp pasta special. I instantly regretted my decision when they delivered our dinner. Her pasta looked incredible.

Think it would be weird if I returned tonight to order it? lol

Worth noting…

This porch (a favorite of mine) is even open during colder months. We celebrated NYE here!

A perfect end to our day…sitting with the one and only Bill Blumensaadt

We loved catching up and sharing small business successes and challenges with one another at our new favorite spot in Catawba - the orchardbarandtable Garden Bar. Cozy chairs, summer breezes, incredible food and drink. I literally make a b line here as soon as we pull in the parking lot.

Those dinner rolls in the second pic are now my new favorite app. Oh my gosh, the most perfect blend of salty and sweet. Even Brian said “this wasn’t at all what I was expecting” as he licked the plate clean.

It’s been 12 years of loving the Blumensaadt family’s vision. You can swipe to see our very first picture taken here as we celebrated our anniversary back in 2014.

Sitting here in Marblehead, beautiful breeze blowing, acoustic live music, sharing some sips with my husband and realizing that today is the first day since September 8th, 1990 that I will not have a child living in my home with me.

Still trying to process these feelings…

Perhaps I’ll put them on paper soon, but for now…I’ll shed a few tears under my sunglasses.

I’ve had the pleasure of creating custom mock necks for the Westlake Cheer Team and the Westlake Soccer Team and NOW…I was asked to create a collection of items for their Homecoming Game - PINK OUT 💗💗💗

And although the mock neck is not pink and will not arrive until after Homecoming, I knew there was a lot of interest in Westlake for a mock neck, so I am including it in this collection AND…

I’m not sure I’ve ever gone to the zoo without a child by my side. I went from being a child to being a mother in the blink of an eye and have enjoyed the zoo from the eyes of a child for as long as i can remember.

It was Brian’s idea to visit the John Ball Zoo and I loved every minute of it. We took the Funicular up the hill and made our way back down by foot looking at the beautiful animals in their large and thoughtful spaces. The animals I could have stood and watched for hours? The lions. So LARGE and majestic. Too far away from me to grab a picture, but they were so beautiful.

We then drove to Wealthy Street for a tiny bit of shopping and a DELICIOUS lunch at THAI TABLE Usually I would order the Pad Thai, but I wanted to try something different so ordered the Thai Boat Noodle. If I lived here, I would get this every single day. So flavorful and good!

We then jumped over to the Wi******er for some sunshine and patio sips and ended our day grabbing a seafood platter at Real Seafood Co Grand Rapids and watching 9 to 5 😊

Heading home now after a PERFECT stay at JW Marriott They gave us the very best room facing the river. Room 515 if you’re ever there!
