This is me saying I had SO. MUCH. FUN. in Florida and can’t wait to share alllllll things Cape Coral and Fort Myers with you, but also here to say I cannot seem to find enough hours in the day to go through 4 years of photos AND…

run a local coffee shop

and landscape my yard for the summer

and have family dinner every Monday night

and launch several new summer collections at CC

and have my grandchildren every Wednesday

and have ginormous fundraisers at the coffee shop the next two Saturdays

and have a social life with my husband (yes to dinner Sunday night, Grant and Nicole 🥂)

and launching some FUN new menus at the coffee shop

and, and, and…

My life is so full…really full…and I truly wouldn’t have it any other way.

All the details about our Florida Get-Aways are coming, I promise. Just will take me a minute (or month, or three) 💕

Although 3 weeks of this has been incredibly fabulous, I’ve missed seeing all my beautiful friends at the coffee shop. And I’m even more excited to launch our June menus because they are FAB. U. LOUS!!!!!

AND after a two year hiatus, a summer Coastal Cleveland Collection will be launching (SOON!!!)

This is one of my favorite spots in Cape Coral along with one of my most favorite salads. 💕

We love this spot for casual delicious dining, marina views, live music, great drinks and breezy porch dining. However, Emilie loves it because she has become the master lobster catcher of the family.

We have been here countless times over the years with friends and family and I’m wishing now that I had taken more pics with our guests!

It’s the place that Sophia had her first bite of lobster. (I actually do have pictures of that, but I’ll keep those close to me 😏)

Brian loves the Shrimp & Grits and the Oh My Gorg which is a hamburger with gargonzola, bacon, frizzled onions, pickles, arugula and thousand island dressing.

I love the Tipsy Sailor - prime filet tips, chimichurri and crostinis and the Wedge Pie - iceberg, tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles, grilled corn, avocado, pancetta and peppercorn ranch - with no crumbles and a side of truffle & parmesan fries

SO GOOD!!!

A lot of times, I get inspired on vacation for new menu items at the coffee shop. I’m going to play around with this salad. The corn, avocado and pancetta are 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 I’ll explore some house made peppercorn ranch dressing recipes. Shake up the toppings a little. Watch for it on our July menu 💕

Summer is just around the corner…which means it’s almost time for Adventure Days with my grandchildren. Since the day they were born, I’ve had them with me once a week during the summer months and for a few years now, we’ve put together a Summer Bucket List. It’s one of their most favorite things to do.

Every year we try to add one or two new ideas to our list and last year it was strawberry picking. We drove to Vermilion to pick fresh strawberries, then headed back to my house and made homemade jam. Rumor has it that their dad said it was the best jam he ever had 💕

Any ideas for what we should add to our list this year?

We’re all very excited that summer is just about here!

Week number two in paradise 🌴☀️💦

Good friends, good food, tons of sunshine, the Dalí Museum, warm salty breezes, last few days of boating and now…one more week all by ourselves 💕

So many of you have reached out to me over the years about the Cape Coral area of Florida. Where do we stay? What are the good restaurants? Well, after 5 years of vacationing here…I am FINALLY starting a blog on Monday to hopefully get launched before the end of the month. I have about 3 million photos to sift through first, lol.

(fun fact: I have 89,279 photos on my phone🤷🏻‍♀️)

If you a frequent visitor at our coffee shop, you probably know one of my most favorite visitors…little Hudson 💙

He was born mere days before my youngest and I opened in Avon Lake and once he was old enough to have his first visit, he’s been in every single day since.

He’s truly like one of my grandchildren at this point and I love him so.

Today his dad texted me some pics of Huddy rocking his CLE hat back at home (10 more days here for me in Florida 🎉🎉🎉)

I mean, is he the cutest Cleveland Kid model ever??? And I love to see his hat review in the last picture 🥰

Toddler hats will be available at the coffee shop tomorrow. I have a blue trucker, a pink trucker, an oat relaxed twill, a purple relaxed twill and an orange relaxed twill.

Whenever I travel…I take in everything. The colors, the designs, the music, the menu, the tastes and sips, the environment…and my brain stores all of the unique things I see.

I am constantly inspired ✨

And although I am “away from work” my brain is always secretly working.

Whether I’m building a playlist while listening to music, finding a design I’m obsessed with, touching the coziest sweatshirt, choosing a toast for breakfast or a salad for lunch or walking around a new town and looking around…my brain is busy.

It’s just who I am.

Some people think I work too much, but the truth is…I just love working 💕

I think, for me, it’s not work…but a grand opportunity to be creative each and every day of my life.

My most favorite part of all of this is meeting new people. Today I am going to meet with a local potter here in Texas. It came up last night in conversation and today, while Brian is in a meeting, I’m going to make the drive and visit this studio. I can’t wait to hear their story, talk about our coffee shop and see what beautiful pieces we can create together!
