They say the Lord doesn't put more on your plate than you can handle, but yesterday tested that theory when my car suddenly stopped working on route 460 without warning. Not only was I dealing with a car issue, but I was also struggling with a flare-up, which made it a nightmare scenario for any GI patient. Thankfully, my West Virginia family and my mother-in-law stepped in to save the day, reminding me that even when my usual support system isn't physically here, there are still good people who will come to my aid. It's in those moments that I realize we're not alone, and that's a blessing.
