Three Sugars

Three Sugars Thanks for being here! My name is Marisha and I am located in Princeton, IN. Welcome! Thank you for coming by. I hope you are having a good day! My Name is Marisha.

Check out the general menu pinned to the top of my page and let me know what I can make you(even if its not on the menu)! šŸ™‚ I have always loved baking and creating delicious treats for people. My husband, Bobby Wood, is the Chief of Police for the Princeton Police Department and the taste tester of all things sweet. We had a daughter in March 2021 then surprise! 8 months later I was pregnant...wit

h Twins. They were born July 2022. After we learned we were having twins, we decided I would not go back to work which has not been the easiest thing on so many levels! If you have tried my treats, I hope you LOVED them and want more! If you have not, I hope you try it out! Three Sugars is named after our three sweet babies...Hattie, Harrison, and Hudson, with a small spin on yummy coffee and all the treats you can eat with it! If you see something you want, let me know! If you have something you would like me make that I may have never made, let me know and we can see if I think I can do it. I do a lot of cupcakes and cookies, but i make other sweet treats, as well. I can do cakes...however, that depends on how fancy you want it. I am always learning and getting better, but cakes are a whole different skill set! Look at my photos to see cakes I have done. I will be honest with you if I cannot do something as I do not want to disappoint anyone. Cheers!

Baby shower cookies! šŸ’šŸ’

These cherry-themed cookies are extra special because this mama is expecting TWINS!! 🄰🄰
I also ended up creating a brand-new cookie inspired by Black Forest cake to make up for a little mishap(thanks HudsonšŸ˜‰)

Rich chocolate cookies loaded with dark chocolate chunks and chips, packed with dried cherries, then topped with a cherry syrup, vanilla glaze, and more diced dried cherries. I’m not a huge cherry flavor lover but I am kind of impressed with these cookies and those who have tried it have loved it! I hope the family of this sweet mama loves them too.

Before I get into this, I want to say that if I ever feel like I can’t create the cake or dessert you’re asking for, I will always be upfront about it. I never want to disappoint anyone or promise something I can’t deliver.

I also wanted to explain something that many people may not realize when it comes to custom cakes and desserts….you’re paying for much more than just the ingredients.

Custom cakes take hours of planning, baking, decorating, color matching, troubleshooting, and detail work. Ingredients alone are not cheap, but beyond that, you’re also paying for time, skill, creativity, experience, and the fact that everything is handmade from scratch.

I’m also aware that my pricing is still on the lower side compared to many others, because I’m continually learning, improving, and growing my skills. But even so, custom work is incredibly time consuming and labor intensive.

Another thing to remember: inspiration photos are helpful, but no cake artist should be expected to copy another artist’s work exactly. I will tell you I will do similar, but not exact. We can absolutely use inspiration photos for style, theme, color palette, or overall vibe, but every decorator has their own techniques, strengths, and creative touch. And especially AI-generated cakes that often aren’t even realistic or physically possible to recreate in real life. Yes, some can be recreated, but that AI image will be flawless and a real cake probably won’t be flawless. They are inspiration, not reality. AI cakes often ignore gravity, structure, spacing, proportions, support systems, serving sizes, texture limitations, and what buttercream/fondant can actually do in real life. A lot of cakes you see anymore on Pinterest are AI. So if you see a cake you like, remember that’s inspiration.

I truly appreciate every single person who supports my small business, trusts me with their orders, and values the work that goes into creating something custom and handmade. So thank you.ā¤ļø

First time for everything… I made a cake that looks like a melting candle. šŸ•ÆļøšŸ˜…
It actually wasn’t hard, the whole design is supposed to look messy, but that’s not the norm so I second guessed every step šŸ˜… It was stressful šŸ˜‚It is definitely a ā€œtrust the processā€ thing.
But it turned out pretty cool and I’m glad I was asked to make it! ā¤ļø

I finally figured out why everyone is obsessed with Biscoff… and it’s NOT the cookie. šŸ‘€

I’m not a big fan of plain Biscoff cookies. To me they taste almost like burnt caramel, and if you’ve seen my recent posts, you already know how I feel about caramel. šŸ˜‚ Not all caramel is created equal. Some are AMAZING and when it’s good, it’s one of my favorite flavors ever. But a crunchy burnt caramel cookie? I’ll pass. I don’t understand how anyone can love that cookie.

BUT…pair it with something else? SO good. S’mores? Yes. Ice cream? Absolutely yes.

I tried cookie butter for the first time today and omgosh…why is it so much better than the actual cookie?! I ate spoonfuls. And somehow it is even more amazing in ice cream. I made a few cakes the other day and ended up with 9-10 extra egg yolks, so naturally I made ice cream. Best ice cream I’ve ever made. Also the most yolks I’ve ever used in a batch, so maybe that’s the secret. šŸ‘€

My husband loves Biscoff, so I made him Biscoff ice cream with crushed cookies and cookie butter mixed in. The problem is…he might not actually get any because this stuff is incredible. šŸ˜‚

A sweet little butterfly is turning one! šŸ¦‹She’s the prettiest, sweetest baby girl too. The dark purple looks almost black in the photos, but I promise it’s actually a deep purple in person! šŸ’œ

Love coffee cake? I made this a long time ago and it was so good! I forgot about the recipe until the other day when I was looking through sourdough discard ideas. So I made another and it does not disappoint! Sourdough coffee cake. So good.

Shortbread cookies dipped in white chocolate…one of my favorite cookies!

But THESE? Definitely up there too šŸ˜

Buttery shortbread topped with rich, from-scratch caramel (because the homemade kind is my favorite) and finished with a chocolate drizzle.

Basically a homemade Twix in cookie form! And they are so good šŸŖāœØ

All my kids teachers are getting to try this cookie first! Hope they love it as much as I do!

Anyone else obsessed with caramel? šŸ˜ It’s one of my favorites… but only when the flavor is there… because not all caramel is created equal, if you know what I mean.

I don’t make it often because the stovetop process feels like forever and you can’t get distracted. Standing there, watching the temp, waiting for that perfect soft ball stage… no thanks. And if you’re like me, getting distracted is basically inevitable with 3 kids running the show šŸ˜…

BUT thanks to Cooking with Karli
(I want to be her!) I found a microwave version that tastes EXACTLY like the traditional recipe 🤯 using the same ingredients as the traditional recipe! Just heat, check the temp, stir in vanilla, and pour. That’s it.

And wow… it is SO. GOOD. šŸ¤Ž
