A little May reflection
1. Farmers Markets
Being back at markets has been SO good for my soul. I’ve loved chatting with familiar faces again and getting back into the rhythm. You can find me at the 5th Street Market on Wednesdays and the Sandpoint Farmers Market on Saturdays.
2. Driving
I swear I spend a third of my life in the car right now. I live between my current bakery and the coming soon bakery, so I’m constantly driving back and forth and everywhere in between. The upside? Podcast time.
3. Deliberating
The amount of tiny decisions required to open a bakery is honestly wild. I’m talking napkin holders, toilet bowl scrubbers, salt & pepper shakers… all the glamorous things.
4. Working
Getting things done whenever and wherever I can. Sitting on the bakery floor. Working from my car with a hotspot. I even had to resist the urge to bring my laptop to dinner with my boyfriend 😅
5. Baking
Of course there’s been baking. I’ve been itching to test new menu items and specials, but I’ve had to admit to myself that right now that just can’t be the priority.
6. Caffeine
Guys, it’s really an addiction at this point. It’s powering me through. BUT I did catch up on sleep and entered June with only 1 hour of sleep debt, which is a huge improvement according to my oura ring
7. Handywoman-ing
Every Sundays with family at the bakery. Trying to get this place to the finish line.
8. Home Depot Trips
I’ve spent WAY too much time at Home Depot and, respectfully, I despise that place. Unfortunately, I fear this relationship is far from over.
