The Pastry Garden opened in December of 1984 as a small retail bakeshop by owners Stephanie & Anthony Principe and one salesperson at the current Adams Fairacre Farms location in Arlington. Sales demand was strong so more products were created and additional staff was hired. The Pastry Garden was then expanded, moving all baking and production to its current home in the Poughkeepsie Plaza. Wholesale business began to grow as restaurants and caterers discovered the variety of pastries and cakes that were available for area delivery.
