A bakers worst nightmare happened yesterday… I somehow missed an order.
How? Honestly, no clue. I remember taking her order, chatting about it, and even getting a pickup time set up, but somehow her name didn’t make it to one of my many calendars so it got missed.
When she came in, my heart sank when I realized what happened. I literally have nightmares of this happening!

I asked her to give me 2 hours to fix it and she kindly agreed. I immediately threw in her cakes and 2 dozen complimentary cookies because I truly felt awful. I got the cake finished and delivered with time to spare ♥️

Why am I posting my mess up?
1. I am human, and mistakes happen. A lot of people think since you run a business then everything has to be perfect. But honestly, I am just like everyone else at the end of the day trying to juggle a business, 3 kids, a home, and everything in between.
And
2. This customer was SO kind and showed me grace. She understood that things happened and gave me the opportunity to fix it. She didn’t yell, bash me all over Facebook, or even get angry with me about it. She was so kind and understanding and I appreciate that more than anyone could ever know!

Congratulations to the Cradys!

This cake needed to feed almost 300 guests 😲
When I say it was close to 60-70lbs, I mean it 💪🏻 (I made my husband carry it 😂)

Top layer was raspberry, middle was carrot cake, and bottom was a classic almond ♥️ with a strawberry and whipped icing sheet cake on the side!

I LOVE the vintage style with all the gorgeous florals 😍
