Good morning, everyone!
I just want to start by saying thank you, truly. Your support for me and my small business means more than I could ever put into words. Being able to leave my job and pursue this dream full-time is something I will never take for granted, and it’s all because of you.
I do have a couple of life updates to share, and they may affect the timing of things for the bakery over the next few months.
First, we are relocating back to Poteet, Texas. This wasn’t an easy decision, but I’m really excited for what this means for my family and the future of my business. During the move and transition, baking will be very limited while I get everything set up again. It may take a little time before I’m able to return to bulk baking.
Second, I’ve officially entered my third trimester! While everything has been going well, I do have a history of high-risk pregnancies, so I need to start taking things a little slower. Because of that, I won’t be able to do large bread batches for markets right now.
I will still be at my Sunday markets at Mi Familia at The Rim (10am–4pm) through the second week of May, with weekly updates just in case anything changes. You can still expect plenty of sourdough treats, cookies, cakes, muffins, brownies, and more because these are low effort/low energy and easily accomplished. All my Sourdough Bread is mixed by hand and requires 12 plus hour bake days so Currently Fresh Bread will not be supplied in bulk and any Fresh Bread will be limited availability bake to orders only.
As we get closer to my due date (June 22nd), I’ll be stepping back more, and the bakery will close for preparing for baby and postpartum. I’m not sure yet when I’ll reopen, but I’ll keep you all updated.
Thank you so much for your patience, your support, and for being part of this journey with me. It truly means everything.
Sam-
