Very late on posting cookie sets. But luckily we’re still in the same month.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY cookies.
🍪 8 cookies for each boxed flower bouquet.

This was the first year I used for the Mason jar vase cookie. I love the way it turned out. For such a big cookie adding a special design really adds to it.

I made Royal icing transfers for the “Happy Mother’s Day” and “Happy Fur Baby Mom Day” to add to each “vase” cookie.

Now the video in the end just shows that working with soft Royal icing while making floral cookies doesn’t work!
After trying to save it… I couldn’t. So I scraped it all off and did it again after fixing the icing.
The last picture just shows how important the consistency of the icing is.
And this is why I hate the process of Royal icing. With all the different colors and consistencies, in all the different bags is the worst part. I spend more time on my feet getting that done, then making the dough, rolling it out and cutting each cookie together.😩

But in the end, edible bouquets are the best!🥰

Well, my “cookie time” normally means, no sleeping until the cookies are done. (Although I try to make myself take, at least a 2 hour nap between each 24hrs.)

But this time my brain took a detour in the process of taking pictures of the finished cookies.

The worst thing is I remember laying them all out before I bagged them.
I remember putting all the 4 different colors of dot borders side by side and centered for the pictures.

Somehow I got sidetracked (no surprise there) and completely forgot to take the pictures.🤦🏻‍♀️

But luckily I took a picture showing the sticker on the back of each cookie bag, and you can see at least 3 finished cookies lying down. Plus I did make a couple videos in the process, but seeing them all completed is the best.

So I will try it again in May, when I make more Ziply Fiber cookies.

Congratulations to Lexi for finishing her externship for her dental hygienist assistant program. She wanted some cookies to thank everyone in the dental office.
She’s so ahead since she hasn’t even graduated high school yet. And she’s not done. She wants to keep going and move up to make the good money! 😆
And people say OCD with cleaning is a bad thing…😂 Keep it up Lexi!
