When big name stores put custard pies out, unrefrigerated, it reminds me that those desserts are a business first, and our health isn’t the priority. Some of them aren't even Made in the US! What do they put in those to keep them from spoiling??? I don't think I want to know actually 😱

This is exactly why I’m so passionate about making my pies with basic ingredients. So you know what’s in it. It's clearly listed on every label. ❤️

No bioengineered mystery ingredients, no hidden fillers, no preservatives you can’t pronounce. Just real food.

This is a reminder that you have options.

Small changes add up. Buy local. Small Mom & Pop's, Fresh meat from Farmstands that sell their own home raised Beef, Pork & Chickens, Fresh Fruits & Vegetables from local venues. That's where I buy the ingredients I use to make my Tasty Pastry desserts.

So, I realize pie isn't something we should eat everyday, but....I maintain, Life is Short. Enjoy the good things every chance you get....and I'm not just talking about Pies😘
