Wedding cake I made for my sister in laws wedding. Cake was a Cherry almond with hot fudge filling. Almond flavored butter cream with vanilla fondant. Sunflowers are gum paste, with butterflies edible lace.

This was a cake I made years ago (some time in the late 70's) for my neighbor's 8 year old son Bobbie. He loved Star Wars. The shell was created with color flow icing. There are 6 pannels featuring a different Star Wars characters also created with color flow. The pannels are assembled in a hexigon shape using royal icing to cement them together. The cake is nested inside of the pannels. When it was time to cut the cake the pannels were lifted off. It made this 8 year old a very happy young man. He kept the shell for sometime before eating it.
