Whatcha baking Wednesday? If you’ve been around awhile you may have seen me post many tea party themed orders recently. This one was for a baby shower and these are probably the most detailed cookies I’ve made. I nearly turned down the request, thinking it was far outside of my skill level. The customer had a very specific vision in mind and through some trial and error I was able design these three detailed cookies. Before you ask-these were top tier cookies and what I’d consider “luxury pricing”. I am really happy with the end result.

Whatcha baking Wednesday? I’ve just spent the past few days in Los Angeles in near 100 degree heat, so it’s hard to imagine that it’s time to plan for cute holiday pajamas. I recently decorated 200 cookies featuring Hanna Andersson new holiday print. This print comes in pjs of all sizes and designs and would be perfect attire for the family or friends holiday photos.

Whatcha baking Wednesday? This order brought back some fun memories. The party theme was based around the 1996 movie Matilda. In 2013 I chaperoned my daughter’s theater class to NYC and we saw the musical Matilda during its preview week. It was truly amazing. Whatcha baking Wednesday? Recently I did two baby shower orders with Tea party themes but one for a boy and one for a girl. I never tire of doing baby shower cookies. Which one do you like best? The pinks or the blues?

Whatcha baking Wednesday? I almost did not post this set because (gasp!) I misspelled the name even though I had it clearly written correctly on my order form. Luckily I was able to correct the spelling and my customer was very gracious. I tried a couple new techniques with my Eddie printer, giving Spider-Man a little added dimension. Happy birthday to TATYM!

Whatcha baking Wednesday? This was my first request for Mahjong cookies and I had so much fun learning about the different tiles in a mahjong set. I have noticed mahjong is becoming popular, do you play?

As a child I grew up camping. I have memories of sleeping on hard ground, of setting up tents, watching out for snakes etc. It’s no wonder I never took my children camping. This homework assignment however shows a different side of camping; “glamping”. I think I could have embraced this. I also went through a period of making lots of macrame so I particularly enjoyed piping the macrame on this cookie.
