Sustainable Northwest Wood is a team of wood enthusiasts in SE Portland who aim to help you Build with Purpose. We connect you to the forest with sustainable solutions for whatever it is that you’re building and provide Local Wood for the Greater Good. We are a different kind of lumberyard: We are a Social Enterprise owned by a non-profit organization, Sustainable Northwest, and work to fulfill our mission of supporting local mills and fabricators, investing in our local communities, while providing our regional building market with local, sustainable, affordable wood products and do that in such a way that has a positive impact in our forests, landscapes and fragile ecosystems. We stock FSC Certified framing lumber and plywood, sustainable decking, fencing, siding, wall paneling, flooring, counter tops, live edge slabs in a bakers dozen PNW wood species —everything you need for your building, remodeling and renovation projects— and all responsibly sourced from a network of sawmills throughout the Pacific Northwest. You can visit our lumberyard, wood warehouse and showroom in SE Portland Oregon and get expert advise, competitive pricing and inspiration. We work with everyone from homeowners and small woodworking shops, to residential and commercial builders. We ship throughout the Continental US and have retailers of our butcher block and flooring products in Portland, Bend, Hood River and Seattle. Our goal is to make it easy for you to include locally grown, sustainably sourced lumber products in your project, and support an entire community of small businesses and amazing humans throughout the region while preserving, protecting and restoring our precious forests and landscapes where we live and play. It must.
