This is it! The very last day to order from my shops. Bittersweet doesn’t even begin to describe what I’m feeling. ❤️‍🩹

I have really valued each and every customer who purchased from me and sent me heartfelt messages and shared how much my work had meant to them. 🥹 I’ll be throwing some extra goodies in with all remaining orders.

I will always cherish the years that I poured myself into my work. And now on to the next daring adventure!

It’s going to be hard to leave all of it behind. 💔 I’ve been reveling in the beauty of what I’ve made over the years, appreciating how it’s changed, how I’ve improved. I love all of it for what it has represented at different stages of my life. Sigh, it’s so bittersweet.

Well, hello! It’s been a looooong time. And I’m popping in with some news that might bum a few of you out. I’m stepping away from Little Canoe indefinitely. I’ve lost my desire to run this shop. It’s been a long time coming, it just took me awhile to wrap my mind around it. I just haven’t made a profit in such a very long time. I’ve found full time work and that will be my primary focus.

I will still take design work, but I’m closing both shops. So now until July 22nd will be your last chance to get anything Little Canoe! So place your orders now!

Thank you all for your support over the years. I have cherished this time so much. But now my creative juices will be directed towards something new. ❤️

Don’t mind me as I keep reminiscing over here leading up to Valentine’s Day! Truthfully, love cards are my favorite to make. What can I say, I’m a romantic. 🥰

I can’t believe I completed this artwork in 2014, 9 years ago! Some pieces just never age.

This is the illustration people like to talk to me the most about. Everyone who’s bought this in a card or print form in the past has a tale to tell about it. And I love how much it speaks to people. Sometimes I consider doing an updated version and sometimes I think “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” But I do think it would be nice to make some new versions to incorporate same-sex couples.

I was packing up this card for a customer today and just had to marvel at this bestselling item. It truly is one of my favorites. I’ve sold 671 of these cards on Etsy alone! Then add in my other shop and the countless wholesale orders I’ve packed that’ve included this card. It’s fun to think about the distance this little image has traveled. To think of the recipients who opened it and saw it’s loving message “I’m so glad we both ended up here.”

With Valentine’s Day kinda almost around the corner, it’s never too early to find the perfect card for that special person in your life. But this doesn’t have to be a romantic card. It’s really perfect for anyone who magically stepped into your life. Anyone you’re grateful for. I can think of a few 😘

I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond ready for a reset. This has been the hardest year for my business ever. I pray that in 2023 I can find a way to break through the noise on this app to finally reach my audience again. I hope I can find ways to reach new customers too. I just hope hope hope for a more successful year in 2023. 🤞🏻

Remaking old Christmas cards, watching movies by the fire and baking cookies. That was my week. How was yours?

I have a plan to remake some of my faves from years past in my new style (like this one) and discontinue many of the cards that don’t sell as well. I’ll also be finally closing my Etsy shop next year to focus on directing business to my website. Much to come at little canoe!!
