here until it's not- which is going to be very soon because I can't stop eating it.😉

this one nicely with our current btg crisp riesling made by beatrice right here in portland ✨

now playing at the fates L to R:

"ink" biodynamic red wine from Austria’s Burgenland region. a blend of Zweigelt and St. Laurent grapes, with bright red fruits and a fresh, peppery finish. low tannins, high enjoyment. beck's wines are masterful and thoughtful, and i really love this bottling.

la Vina de la Merce 100% Tempranillo from Rioja, Spain. La Vina de la Merce is named in honour of winemaker Pedro's mother, and is a gracious and lovely expression of this grape. the vines reside in a 35+ year-old Tempranillo vineyard with soil of stone and clay. this site is very windy, which gives the grapes some enjoyable, intense brightness. textured and bright, with spice and red fruits, best enjoyed with laughter and someone you love.

"EAZY" Refošk - think a lighter, crunchy syrah. this vibrant, organic red wine produced in Slovenia's coastal Istria region by the Zaro family, in collaboration with the importer Black Lamb, [one of my absolute favourites], and is crafted from coastal Istria's indigenous Refošk grape. intentionally designed as an approachable, lightly acidic and juicy red, with sour cherry, black pepper and sea breeze.
summertime, and the livin's eaZy.

Pinot Noir, from Silvershot Vineyards, Finnigan Hill, No Clos Radio, Marin Estate, all in Willamette Valley, 2024 harvest - what a beautiful sampling of WV vines aging from 17-50 years! this is a true capture of our beloved Oregon terroir. “light, transparent fruit framed by earth” could not say it better. just a fantastic pinot, and perfectly delicious capture of why we love this place.

open 5-9 tonite!
charley, haru and i will look forward to serving up some love for you all xx
ps-
patio is still closed as we continue renovations. we'll have a grand ol patio party as soon as she's ready!

06/06/2026

it's a gorgeous gloomy day here in the pacific northwest, and it just feels like a grand day to open and share this Cotes du Rhone from Chateau de la Font du Loup.
this sexy, smooooooth Grenache // Syrah from the Rhône Valley regales herself with aromas of black cherry liqueur, ripe black plum and woodsy lavender, with silky smooth tannins and a medium, easily enjoyable structure. lovely on her own, or accompanied by warm bread and fig preserves [which i just so happen to have all warmed and ready xx]

Château de la Font du Loup is a dedicated organic and sustainable winery, with beehives and sheep on the land that maintain soil fertility and healthy vines and accompany their dedication to creating beautiful things together with mother nature.

there is peace, gentle rainfall, and a lot of love reflected in this bottle, and I'm going to open this one from my personal home cellar tonight to share with you all. see you soon. xx

[patio closed again today because the mamma nature said we need to be cozy and stay inside tonight]

's oh-so-sweet little love note to his momma, "Jenny" is here!!!

✨oregon rosé wine // vintage 2025 // sauvignon blanc, rosé of syrah, muscat, gewürztraminer and gratitude for summers by the water, postcards, memory boxes, old pyrex and pancakes.

raise a glass to someone who has made a safe space for your heART and been there to remind you that love is thicker than water.

pouring this love today by the glass- hopefully this will somehow make up for a closed patio due to gloomy wet weather [swipe for a peek at the progress of our new roof though!!].

come cozy up inside- see you soon. xx
