Early in May a tiny hummingbird chose our wind chime to make her nest. She has been on the nest every day until this weekend. The last time I see her on the camera was Sunday afternoon. I’m afraid something happened to her because even with us in and out the door she always came back to the nest. Yesterday the first egg hatched and sometime in the night the second egg hatched. I believe there is a third egg. I had the camera record all night and she never came back to the nest. I’m not sure if there is anything that can be done in our area or if there is anyone who can care for the babies. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

We named this sandwich for our Uncle Bob Doughty who served as District court Judge in Alamogordo, Otero County, New Mexico. Bob loves this great state of New Mexico but even more loves green chile.

So this great sandwich is our slow roasted roast beef topped with green chile, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and our Baja sauce on a toasted hoagie roll.
