God has a plan — not only for me, not only for you, but for every single person. Yet He gives us a choice. Some will hear His voice and answer the call. Others will hear and choose to harden their hearts. Our Father does not force Himself on anyone; He is a gentleman. I am deeply grateful that He sent His Son to earth to reconcile us back to Himself.
A few weeks ago, we returned from our mission trip to California, and what we witnessed has forever marked my heart. I saw things I had never seen before — women standing exposed on the streets, homeless individuals appearing lifeless and bound by addiction, open drug use in broad daylight. We were followed by men who appeared to control and exploit these women. We watched as individuals were led away by those “in charge” of them. There were moments when we truly sensed the reality of spiritual and physical danger.
In those moments, I had to quiet my spirit and rely fully on the Lord. It was no longer about what I felt — it was about obedience. When you see people in genuine bo***ge and danger, you realize this is not theory; this is a battlefield for souls.
The Lord is sending us back into the fire — not recklessly, but purposefully — to help pull others out. My heart is overwhelmed with compassion that He would entrust us with such a calling. I am honored that we were able to speak with each woman, to look them in the eyes, to pray with those who allowed us to. Each one has a name. Each one is known by God. Scripture tells us that He predestined them to be conformed to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29). They are not forgotten.
In Luke 14:16–23, Jesus tells the parable of the great banquet. When those who were invited made excuses, the master instructed his servant to go into the streets and alleys and invite the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame. When there was still room, he said:
“Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
God is still extending that invitation today. The invitation is not limited to the strong, the polished, or the socially acceptable. As Scripture says in 1 Corinthians 1:27, He often chooses the foolish things of this world to shame the wise.
The Bridegroom is preparing for His bride. The feast is ready. And our assignment is clear — to go into the highways and byways, to reach those others overlook, and to invite them into the love, freedom, and redemption found in Christ.
We will continue to go wherever He sends us. With compassion. With boldness. With humility. Trusting that every soul matters to Him — and therefore matters to us.
With limited pictures to no pictures of what we truly seen for people‘s protection and out of respect. These are the pictures I got of just us the ones the Lord sent out into the fields -
