June is Pride Month, and we’re proud to once again partner with .

Starting today, our Be The Rainbow ice cream is back. It’s a simple sweet cream ice cream loaded with rainbow sprinkles. Throughout June, we’ll donate $1 from every Be The Rainbow item sold to support LGBTQ+ youth and families in our community through the work of Be The Rainbow.

At Smusht, we believe that ice cream is for everyone. We want our shop to be a place where people feel welcome, accepted, and comfortable being themselves.

We’re grateful for everything Be The Rainbow does to help make Port Washington a more inclusive and supportive community, and we’re honored to play a small part in that mission.

One of our favorite flavor collaborations is back!

Last year, we teamed up with Momma’s Got Cookies to create a flavor we thought people would enjoy.

The response was better than we ever expected.

Momma’s Cookie Dough combines our creamy vanilla ice cream with generous chunks of Momma’s Got Cookies’ edible gluten-free cookie dough for a flavor that’s rich, chewy, and packed with cookie dough in every scoop.

We’re excited to share that Smusht is open on Mondays again.

Our new spring hours officially start this week, and we’ll now be open every day till the fall.

We’re looking forward to longer days, warmer nights, seeing familiar faces back in the shop, and another great spring and summer ahead.

Three years ago today, we opened the doors to a little ice cream sandwich shop in Port Washington with a few goals in mind: make really good ice cream, have an impact in the community, and create a place that feels happy.

What’s happened since has exceeded all expectations.

We’ve been lucky enough to be part of birthdays, graduations, promposals, dance recitals, theater productions, team celebrations, festivals, parties, fundraisers, tough days, great days, and ordinary summer nights. Some of you stop in once a year, others we see multiple times a week. We’ve seen some of your kids literally grow up with us over these last three years.

A shop like Smusht only works because of community. Because people choose it. Talk about it. Bring friends. Make it part of their lives. Help create the kind of place we always hoped Smusht could become.

We don’t take that lightly.

To every customer, employee, vendor, collaborator, and especially my family who helped build Smusht into what it is today, thank you.

We’re incredibly grateful to be part of this town and part of your lives.

Happy 3rd Birthday to us. Here’s to whatever comes next.

Two of my personal favorites that we don’t have very often are in the case right now:

Killer Bee: Sweet cream ice cream with honeycomb and hot honey.

Makrut Lime— made with fragrant makrut lime zest.

One is sweet with a little sting. The other is bright, fresh, and unlike anything else. Will take you straight to Thailand.

Our March tradition is back: Girl Scout favorites are now scooping at Smusht — Thin Mint, Samoas, and gluten-free Toffee-Tastic!

Even better, we make them with real Girl Scout cookies bought from local Girl Scouts who come into the shop, give us their pitch, and build the confidence and poise this program is all about.

So come treat yourself to a scoop (or three) and support some pretty impressive local girls while you’re at it.
