Patisserie 42 Patisserie 42 is a home bakery specializing in cakes and cupcakes, however, I also make a large variety of treats. You can also text.

I have been making specialty cakes since 2010. I love the creativity of cake decorating and being able to make something beautiful that is also edible. I was self-taught for years until I decided to attend culinary school through The Culinary Institute of Michigan, where I graduated in 2016 with an Associate degree in Baking and Pastry. I specialize in cakes (single layer, stacked, or carved), inc

luding buttercream, fondant work, gumpaste flowers and figurines, and string-work. I also do a large variety of candies, such as, bonbons, truffles, pralines, caramels, and much more. The name Patisserie 42 was inspired by the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books. According to the books the number 42 is the answer to the ultimate question - the meaning of the universe......so of course 42 = the answer to the meaning of life = cake! I prefer to be emailed or pm'ed here on facebook, rather than phone calls. If you do decide to call rather than email or pm, please leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I am available. I do not have set prices on here because every cake is different. If the cake has fondant and handmade flowers and accessories, it will be more expensive. It will also be more expensive if it is all buttercream, but has intricate designs on it. Please contact me with any questions about prices for specific cakes.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm working on responding to messages today that I missed this week. I had a bit of a family emergency (my husband is in the hospital - he's ok). I also am working on getting my website up that will have more information on it for flavors and serving sizes and whatnot.

This was a special delivery I made today :) Her niece ordered the cake as a surprise, so she had no idea! The cake had a replica of her favorite teacup on the top that I made out of gumpaste and handpainted, then has handmade flowers, edible lace, and pearls.

Experimenting with some truffle flavors today - I love adding herbs and spices to chocolate - it just adds that something extra :)

Hello everybody! I am back doing cakes and treats again! Everything got very busy when I was in school and I decided to close my page so I could concentrate on my studies. Please look through the page - I have added a lot of new pictures! Please note that for the time being I will not be able to deliver large cakes - hopefully soon we will have a reliable vehicle so I can start delivering again - I will let you know as soon as I do. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask! I will have a new website up soon as well as an Etsy shop where you can order candies and truffles to be shipped. I am still working on all of this and working out prices. I will have a full menu and prices up soon!
