Starting Monday August 10th I will now be requiring non-refundable deposits! If you currently have an order placed I will be sending out the invoices by Monday.
I apologize for any inconvenience but I have been dealing with so many last minute cancellations lately, the week of and even the day before they are due and so I need to take some kind of action. I have been doing this for 11 years and now having to do this hurts. I understand unexpected things come up but this is my full time job and full time income. Every order I receive helps me pay the bills and buy groceries that are a little high right now as we all know. I feel like I have always kept my pricing reasonable and it is posted on the main page of my website for all to see. Every order I have is made with love. But I have my moments of burn out too just like everyone. I know I can't be everyone's baker or make everyone happy all of the time. I try my best everyday to give my all. Some days I can fall short but I try not to let that show in my work. I love what I do and that's why I do it full time. I have worked very hard to keep myself in this business for 11 years and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I appreciate all of my regulars and newcomers. I love making people happy with my sweets! But trust if a big part of this business too. Anyone placing an order with me is you trusting me to be a part of your event. Trusting me to give quality and professionalism. I never cancel on anyone. Even when I have lost loved ones. If I had ever forgotten to write down your order I have always made it right in some way. I have built trust in my name. I even try to take on anything last minute I can. Like I said I know things happen. If you are struggling that is ok. If you need to cut down on sizing or design that is ok. I will work with you. If you know your order is going to be a little high and want to make payment I'm ok with that. Just communicate.
I know not receiving a confirmation as soon as you put your order in has been confusing. I have felt sending invoices the week they are due has been best for me to stay focused on what I need to do that week. I am now going to be working on getting them out daily maybe in the evening when I finish my work for the day or first thing in the morning with the new required deposits.
Non-refundable deposits
$25 non-refundable deposit for orders under $100
$50 non-refundable deposits for orders over $100.
If your order is less than $25 then maybe $10 deposit LOL
My cookie pricing varies. They run from $45-$75 per dozen + tax depending on how they are decorated. And I make every single one by hand. Every detail is piped by hand. So remember when I only charge $45-$50 per dozen on something like animals or something more detailed I feel like that is reasonable. They take so much longer to make than a cake does.
Cakes are priced based on size, decorations and flavors. If you order something not on my main menu it will be a little more expensive. I have all my sizes and prices posted as well as serving sizes. But they are estimated prices. They can always be more than posted especially with growing prices of goods. If you request a cake quote or cookie quote from me but your event is not for at least 6 months to a year out it is subject to change due to grocery prices.
Wedding cakes are on a whole other level! It is so stressful trying to price a wedding cake at a reasonable price but with how large and stressful they are they will always cost more then a regular decorated birthday cake. So please be patient with me trying to break those down for y'all.
Sorry for the heavy. It hurts my heart to not be able to fully trust and that is how this feels. I know there are so many other wonderful bakers in town new and old and I love to support everyone. I am happy to send someone to another when I'm just too booked to handle any more and I am so grateful for returned love! Everyone has their own style, flavor and just ways of doing things! I respect my fellow bakers. I appreciate the recommendations and friends telling their friends about me and my art!
