Fresh veg is featured in this weeks quiche at juice 'n Java express . Yellow and green zucchini sautéed with garlic, carmelized shallot, sweet white organic corn, baby spinach, and blue cheese - lemon- dill custard.

You can buy fresh corn now in the supermarkets! I would wait to get it fresh at the farmers market, and then go right to the Meadowlark Dairy and pick up some roasted garlic basil butter to go with it. It's the best!

And while you're there, pick up a bag of fresh granola to take with you to the Concert in the Park that begins June 7. Say Hi to Jesse and Katie.

Everyone loves a BLT especially when it's baked into this weeks quiche at Juice 'n Java Express. Lots of
applewood smoked bacon, carmelized leek, yellow
onion ,garlic, roasted cherry tomatoes, baked in a rich mascarpone -Parmesan custard .

We went to the market on Saturday to visit vendor friends, sample the first cherries,and enjoy the beautiful weather. I also found amazing veggies and herbs which became the inspiration for this week's quiche at Juice ' n Java. Char- grilled veggies marinated in herbs ad olive oil, zucchini , mushroom, green garlic, baked in Aromstic herb mustard custard and cheddar cheese.

This pie smelled soooo good coming out of the oven it was hard to resist taking a slice for myself . You can get a slice this week at Juice 'n Java Express... Roasted balsamic cherry tomatoes, sweet corn , green garlic, basil pesto ... All baked up in a creme fraiche and chèvre custard.

This weekend at the market, the peanut butter granola is especially yummy...chunks of peanut buttery clusters with whole peanuts,and pecans . Our quiche this week is the Loaded Baked Potato and the Market Veggie features Yukon gold potato, yellow onion, fennel , carrot and. chard baked in Brie custard.

We're here at the Pleasanton Farmers Mkt and thanks to friends Patti,. Cindy, and our baker, Cassie , the granola is fabulous.... Crunchy clusters of goodness that boasts half the fat and calories than most commercial brands. The bars are big and chewy, the quiche this week celebrates the first asparagus crop of the season. We pared it with sweet potato and fresh thyme.
