THANKS FOR ALL THE SMILES!
First off, I know this post is a little delayed and I really appreciate everybody’s concerns. Calling it quits is not one of my skill sets. Unfortunately, I have tried to avoid this day for over a year(s) at this point, but we have had too many exterior challenges over the years that ultimately immobilized the business and left me unable to take care of myself and the people around me. It was not a total failure, we did accomplish a lot of goals that we set out for ourselves and the community around us.
Thanks to our wholesale customers, sorry that the program had to end suddenly, but that was us holding on as long as we could. Thanks to everyone who supported us through the pandemic and huge thanks to all the people who came to the bake stand every week. Thanks to everyone who came out when we were a restaurant. Thanks to the employees who committed themselves to keeping the boat afloat. Thanks to all of our friends and family members who donated their time, skills, and expertises to the project. Thanks to all of our small purveyors for your help. Sorry to my neighbors for all the weeds. Thanks to several people down at the City of Pleasanton for your support. Special thanks to Jessie Takens and Don Overacker for helping me move everything out of the building.
To answer the question of what I will be doing next, well it’s still up in the air. Don’t unfollow us just yet, I will continue to make posts on future events.
Thanks, Matt
