On today’s episode of “What Stupid Thing Did Alisha Do?” 😂

A few weeks ago I was hemming my jeans with my sewing machine. First of all, I am NOT a sewer. I literally know nothing about sewing and am just winging it 😂

So I’m sewing my jeans, going really, really fast because I have absolutely no patience, and I hear a weird noise. Do I stop?? Nope. I just keep going. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Then all of a sudden something FLIES INTO MY EYE.

THE NEEDLE BROKE. 😳 And the sharp part of the needle literally flew straight into my eye!!

The pictures honestly don’t even show how bad it looked, but I am SO grateful it wasn’t worse. It left this crazy-looking spot in my eye, but thankfully that was it.

When I showed my kids they were HORRIFIED. They told me I need to wear safety goggles from now on. 😂

Anyway, apparently sewing machine needles can BREAK AND FLY INTO YOUR EYEBALL. Just passing along this information because I had absolutely no idea this was something I needed to worry about. 😂. Your welcome :)

Here are 3️⃣ HACKS I USE for super smooth frosting:

1. Chill and Smooth – After frosting, chill the cake for 15–20 minutes to firm it up.
2. Hot Scraper or Spatula – Dip your tool in hot water, dry it, and smooth the frosting for a smooth finish.
3. Turntable & Steady Pressure – Rotate the cake while keeping your scraper or spatula steady for even coverage.

Today, we are coming together to honor my cousins beautiful 10-year old daughter Leneah.

Red Velvet Cupcake: red was her favorite color �Cream cheese frosting, symbolizing her innocence and beautiful spirit.�Each cupcake is finished with one of three meaningful toppers:
🦋 Butterfly – Butterflies were one of Leneah’s favorite things and represent the beautiful spirit she leaves behind.
🎀 Red Bow – A tribute to Leneah’s favorite color, red, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
🌸 Edible Flower – A tribute to the beautiful life of a little girl who touched so many hearts. ❤️

💔 Today our hearts are broken.

Sweet Leneah Taeoalii has passed away.

In the midst of unimaginable heartbreak, Leneah’s family made the incredibly selfless decision to donate her organs, giving the gift of life to others. Even in her final moments, she became a hero.

TOMORROW FRIDAY AUG 7th , we invite our community to come together to honor Leneah’s beautiful life and surround her family with love and support.

Every item in our bakery will be sold by donation.

100% of every dollar donated will go directly to Leneah’s family to help with funeral expenses and to support them as they navigate this unimaginable loss.

💔 We are heartbroken for the Taeoalii family as they mourn the unimaginable loss of their precious Leneah. This is my cousin’s family, and this loss has touched us deeply. There are simply no words that can ease the pain of losing a daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and sister. Our hearts are with them as they navigate the days ahead, and we hope they feel surrounded by the love and support of this community. ❤️

KSL 5 TV recently shared Leneah’s story, and I wanted to share their video with all of you. My cousin Connie Bradshaw did such a beautiful job representing their family and sharing the incredible courage, love, and selflessness that defined Leneah.

This Friday, we will donate 100% of all proceeds directly to Leneah’s family.

We try to do one big fundraiser each year. We’re very picky about what we do it for, and unfortunately it’s usually because something tragic has happened.

This time, it’s for my cousin’s sweet 10-year-old daughter, Leneah, who was involved in a tragic drowning accident and is currently fighting for her life.

This Friday, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Leneah’s family to help with medical expenses and other unexpected costs so they can focus on what matters most.
