Wanted to share a very REAL and vulnerable moment with you…

The stress of relocating our cafe has caused me to question and doubt my calling. The hurdles and set backs are stressful to bear. This experience has stretched me more than I ever expected.

There have been so many moments where I’ve wanted to quit… to walk away… to just make the pressure stop.

In this long waiting season, I’ve questioned everything—even whether we’re supposed to open at all.

But every time I bring those doubts to the Lord, I feel Him gently remind me—

I’m not going through this to quit.
I’m being stretched.

My faith is being tested… not to break me, but to grow me.

Jeremiah 17:7–8 says:
“Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord… they will be like a tree planted by the water… it does not fear when heat comes.”

And right now? It feels like the heat.

But I’m choosing to stay planted.
To trust even when it’s hard.
To believe that God is still working—even in the waiting.

Thanks for waiting with us. We can’t wait to welcome you in and serve you to the best of our ability. We consider it a ministry and a blessing to do so.

I just felt led to share this with you all today. If you’re in a stretching/waiting season too… just know that you’re not alone 🩷 let’s choose to trust in the Lord together to give us abundant strength and bear fruit and flourish in all seasons!!

🩷 A Little Update from Sweet Missions 💚

We were planning to open our doors tomorrow, and we were SO excited… but God is still working out a few final details.

Right now, we’re in the process of getting a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy. This is needed so we can schedule our final inspection and officially open.

While it’s not the update we were hoping to share today, we trust His timing—and we know it will be worth the wait.

Thank you all so much for your prayers, encouragement, and patience through this journey. We have felt every bit of it, and it has carried us through these final steps.

We are SO close, and we cannot wait to welcome you in soon! 🩷

Our Story

Sweet Missions combines a love for all things SWEET and a love for MISSIONS. The business began in 2012 with Tricia baking cakes to help her son Joshua go on a mission trip. Since then, Sweet Missions has been honored to help support a variety of missions by giving back 10 % of all proceeds. We have a mobile kitchen and LOVE to serve food especially SWEETS! You can find us serving lunches at area schools as well as serving at community and private events.

In addition to baking and cooking, Sweet Missions offers dress up costumes for children. Tricia fell in LOVE with the SWEET comfy dress up costumes she found for her children and knew they would be a perfect addition to the business. No more itchy fabrics!
