Hi friends 🩷
I wanted to share something personal with you all. I was recently diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer. While those words are never easy to hear, I am incredibly thankful it was caught early. After meeting with several wonderful local specialists and spending a lot of time in prayer and discussion with my family, I’ve decided to move forward with a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction.
My surgery is scheduled for the beginning of June, and because recovery will take some time, I’ll need to step away from baking for several weeks while I heal.
As scary and overwhelming as this season can feel, it has also reminded me just how important early detection truly is. So please — get your mammograms when it’s time and do your monthly self exams. It matters more than you know. 🩷
This little bakery has been such a blessing to our family, and your support has meant the world to us. Since I’ll be away from baking during recovery, we’re planning ONE final pickup before surgery.
