My next market event is just a week away, I hope you’ll come see me in Shingle Springs on Saturday, June 13 from 4 PM to 8 PM.

i’ve set up a pre-sale option on my website so that you can pre-order your favorite Lisa‘s Farmhouse Creations baked goods and have them ready for pick up. I’ll have a small selection of sweet treats the day of the event, along with my new pantry items that include baking mixes, and seasoning mixes. I’ll also have a lot of my new handcrafted items - all the things I’ve been working on in my sewing room.

My Red, White & Blue collection has been going really well - I’ve received orders through my Etsy Shop to ship into 20 of our 50 states - as shown in the first picture of the US map. I’d ❤️ to get an order into each state before 4th of July.

Here’s where I need your help. If you know someone who would love one of these banners, pillows or vase flags, especially if they live in a state shaded in gray, tag them in the comments below. As orders come in to new states I’ll update the map - and each time I’m able to color in 10 new states I’ll be doing a giveaway for an item from the collection. You’ll receive an entry in the drawing for each person you tag, whether they make a purchase or not.

I spent over 30 years working in the accounting field - not a lot of room for creativity, at least not the fun, colorful kind.

I have been loving my time in my craft room, coming up with handcrafted creations that I hope will bring some happiness to some of you. My current theme is patriotic - red, white & blue - because we are so close to America’s 250th birthday and every party needs fun, festive decorations.

These are part of my latest release, some are in the traditional flag layout and others are just fun creations with my fabric. Each is 3”x5” - $6 each or 3/$16 plus applicable tax and shipping.

Stay tuned - my next release will be a collection of cross stitched pieces. Detailed, on-theme, perfect for home or office decor and definitely a labor of love. If you’ve done cross stitch, you’ll understand what I mean. Even the smallest piece has several hours of stitching time involved, but it’s something that can’t easily be replaced by automation - and that’s a good thing. ❤️🤍💙

I’ve gotten away from using AI to create things for my social media accounts however, I saw this trend and decided I wanted to give it a try. AI didn’t get it right the first time and maybe not even the eighth time but I do like this version. It captures all of the things that I enjoy doing and the best part is that I can incorporate them into Lisa’s Farmhouse Creations.

They say variety is the spice of life, I love being able to enjoy the variety of crafts. I’ve learned over the years.

Even with being retired, it’s sometimes hard to find a day to just relax and enjoy this beautiful place that I now call home. Who needs a vacation getaway when these beautiful sites and sounds are right in my own backyard.

I’ve been shifting some of my time and focus to crafting because I really do enjoy creating things outside of the kitchen too. I first learned to cross stitch when I was in elementary school. My neighborhood best friend‘s mom was an avid needle worker - she knitted, crocheted, did needlepoint and cross stitch, and I think rug hooking too. The one craft she taught us that has stayed with me over the years is cross stitch. It’s incredibly time-consuming, but I love finding fun patterns and absolutely love all the colors of floss.

This patriotic pattern is from and will be done well before 4th of July.

A couple of weeks ago I listed some handmade flag decor items in my Etsy shop and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the number of customers who have placed orders. This is the 3rd flag bunting I’ve made and shipped out in the last week and I’ve lost count of the Flags on wood dowels for tiered tray and vase decor.

I’ve got more in stock and can ship these nationwide so if you want some Americana decor you can order for yourself or for friends who love seasonal decor.

I’ll be adding some similar types of items soon for Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas. I’m still baking but also enjoying creating things in my craft room too.
