Well ya'll, I finally did it!
For those of you that know my family, you know that Doris was famous for her Christmas Popcorn Balls & Popcorn Cakes! A perfected recipe generationally passed down from her mom. Before Doris passed in 2012 I made sure to get her copy and have her supervise a couple batches to ensure accuracy😉This production was an annual Christmas tradition in the Skogen household & to this day I know that is one of the many things she is still remembered & beloved for. Growing up in Buena Park, at some point Mrs. Knott's got a hold of one of mom's popcorn cakes & offered my parents to purchase the rights to the recipe in order to sell these coveted, decadent creations @ Knott's Berry Farm! They declined😱 (that is a whole other convo on it's own🙄) But I finally started making batches of popcorn balls & simply changing the color, I don't have to wait til Christmas to share this delicious goodness again!😊
