You never know what might spark a passion inside of you until you give it a chance.

A few years ago, I decided to try making sourdough bread. What started as curiosity quickly became a passion, then a business, and now one of my favorite ways to connect with others. If I hadn’t taken that first step, I never would have discovered something I truly love.

Maybe sourdough isn’t just bread. Maybe it’s a new hobby, a creative outlet, a way to slow down, or even the beginning of your own passion.

After an incredible sell-out pop-up at Westminster Weddings & Events in Mendon this past weekend, my heart is so full. Thank you to everyone who came out to support Bizzy Bakes, grab fresh sourdough, and connect with our community. I loved meeting so many of you and sharing what I’m passionate about 💛

I’m excited to be popping up at the Spring Renewal Community Health & Wellness Day this Saturday, May 9 from 10am–2pm at Westminster Weddings & Events in Mendon! Come enjoy a beautiful day filled with local wellness vendors, yoga classes, shopping, and time to slow down before Mother’s Day 💕

Spring Renewal – A Community Health & Wellness Day
🗓 Saturday, May 9

📍 Westminster in Mendon

This is a FREE event to come shop and explore over 20 health and wellness vendors—such a perfect way to spend a spring day.

I’ll be there with my fresh, small-batch sourdough (including some of your favorites… and maybe a few special loaves 👀). If you’ve been wanting to try my bread or just stop by and say hi, this is a great chance!

There are also optional wellness classes happening throughout the day if you want to make a full experience of it 🧘‍♀️

Powers Farm Market is OPEN for the season and we are so excited to be back! 🌿

If you’ve been by recently, you might notice the baby donkey isn’t such a baby anymore 🫏—they’ve grown so much and are just as adorable as ever.

Back with Bizzy Bakes, the grain mill is officially back in action, which means we’re bringing you even more fresh, from-scratch goodness each week.

And… we have a NEW bread in town:
Rye Caraway Sourdough 🤎

This one is especially close to my heart. It’s been a passion project of mine for over a year. Rye sourdough is often considered one of the healthiest breads you can eat—it’s naturally higher in fiber, has a lower glycemic impact, and the sourdough fermentation helps improve digestion and nutrient absorption.

I’ve worked hard to create a version that’s both nourishing and something your whole family will love.

Stop by Powers and grab a loaf (or two!)—and say hi to the animals while you’re there 🐓

Ready to finally feel confident making sourdough from scratch? 💛 🐝🌾

I’m hosting a Sourdough Workshop on Saturday, May 2nd from 11:30–1:30 at Jody Baker Studio, and I’d love for you to join us!

This class is designed to be simple, relaxed, and beginner-friendly—no experience needed. I’ll walk you through everything step-by-step so you can confidently start baking at home.

✨ During class, we’ll cover:
• Sourdough basics (without the overwhelm)
• Mixing & shaping techniques
• How to care for and use your starter
• A live demonstration of milling wheat into fresh flour 🌾

✨ You’ll go home with a complete sourdough kit, including everything I personally use to make sourdough from scratch—so you can actually put it into practice right away.

I keep these classes intentionally small so everyone gets a hands-on, comfortable experience. Spots are limited, and they tend to fill quicker each time I offer one.
