General Membership Meeting & Development Activities Meeting
MWS Historic District Design Guidelines
Join the Mexican War Streets Society for an important community meeting with the Department of City Planning.
City Planning will present and discuss proposed revisions to the Mexican War Streets Historic District Design Guidelines, followed by a community Q&A.
This is the last opportunity for community input before the revisions go before the Historic Review Commission for endorsement. Residents—especially Mexican War Streets property owners—are encouraged to review the proposed guidelines and attend with comments and questions.

We're having a Blast at the 54th Annual Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour!
The weather gods have blessed us and the sun is starting to peek through. WE STILL HAVE DAY-OF TICKETS AVAILABLE! Still plenty of time to go through the tour if you want to come on down to the neighborhood!

Good Morning All and Happy House and Garden Tour Day! 🏠🤩🥳

We are looking forward to welcoming so many guests and visitors to our neighborhood today! Here are a few helpful items to ensure a smooth tour day today:

1. Our tour is never cancelled and always goes on —rain or shine! The House and Garden Tour will proceed as planned today from 11:00am-5:00pm.

2. The Welcome Booth to pick-up tickets is located at 604 W North Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 in front of the beautiful and historic Boggs Mansion.

3. We are an urban, city neighborhood, so street parking is the majority option. We do have one
lot available on a first come, first serve basis at 1300 Brighton Rd. Parking volunteers will be on-site to guide guests until the lot is full.

4. We will be busy preparing for and facilitating the event today, so please note there will be a delay in responses to any messages sent via social media or emails sent to our organization email.

WOW! You know how to make us gleam with excitement! 🥳 If you missed the online ticket sale window please see below... all hope is not lost.😏

Our online ticket sales closed this afternoon and we had another SELL OUT year! We are so grateful and appreciative for all of the support of the Mexican War Streets neighborhood and Pittsburgh's Oldest and Finest House Tour!

Did you miss the chance to buy tickets online? Not to worry! We have found capacity to open a limited amount of day-of-tour tickets for sale at our Mexican War Streets Society vendor booth at 604 W North Ave. These tickets will be sold first come, first serve beginning at 11:00am. $35 each: Cash or Card accepted.

We are so excited to welcome everyone to our beautiful neighborhood on Sunday! See you soon!

Mechanic's Retreat Garden is getting redd up for our 54th Annual Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour this Sunday September 20th, 11am-5pm! Thank you to our new partners at oldalleghenylandscaping for the AMAZING work they have been doing over the past couple weeks to clean the garden up and bring a new vision to the space!
Are you attending the tour? If so- be sure to take a moment to stroll through the garden on your walks through the neighborhood, and maybe grab a coffee to go at Commonplace Coffee while you're at it!
