Nina's Sweet Brigadeiro Brigadeiro is a traditional Brazilian chocolate treat the size of a truffle with a smooth and soft texture...something between between fudge and mousse!

Artisan chocolate, locally made in Pinehurst! Fully inspected and registered, my dream of making brigadeiros started in November 2012. "Nina" is my daughter's nickname and I dedicate these to her, they are sweet and delicate, just like her! A little about the "Brigadeiro":

Brigadeiro (bree-gah-day-ro) is the Brazilian favorite and most traditional sweet. History says this chocolate sweet recipe

has its origin in the 1920's. But only in the 1940's was named as BRIGADEIRO (it means Brigadier) when some adorable women started to make this mouth-watering sweet to help Brigadier Eduardo Gomes on his election campaign

Because my products don't include artificial preservatives, as soon as you've placed an order, you can be assured that your Brigadeiro product was home-made the day of shipping or the day prior to shipping.
