We have good news!
For all of you who have been trying to buy this hat off of my head. 😄
Cowabunga scored a very limited amount of the pelican hats from the Compound Boardshop and will have them available for purchase this weekend, at all locations.
We have it it in brown, black, gray, and blue 👌🏼

Cowabunga is headed down the mountain to Florida this morning!

Thank you Apple Festival for a wonderful weekend in the mountains with our family and all you wonderful folks. Hallelujah the rain held off and it turned out to be an incredibly good couple days.

We will be back at our 3 weekly spots in Venice on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this weekend.

And….this week’s special menu item is THE PRETZEL DOG!

Cowabunga Doughnut Company celebrates its one year anniversary this weekend, at the Unicoi County Apple Festival, where it debuted October 2025 ✨✨✨

I am the little sister of Auntie Ruth’s Donuts & Pretzels.
So many of you have gotten to enjoy Ruth’s hot doughnuts for many, many years at this festival. I have such fond memories of helping her those first few years. We adore this festival. Ruth has opened up a couple beautiful brick + mortar shops and no longer travels with her business.
So we travel here from Nokomis, Florida to feed all of you beautiful folks at the festival, enjoy a week in these autumn temperatures in the mountains, and spend a spectacular week with our local family.

We are so happy to be back this week October 2 & 3.

The Original Vanilla Glazed Doughnut (house made glaze)

Snickerdoodle Doughnut (vanilla glazed + cinnamon sugar)

Soft Pretzel (salted + buttered)

Fresh Squeezed Lemonade (our Grandma’s secret recipe)

• We cook all of our doughnuts in 100% pure tallow
• We are seed oil free
• We use only tallow, avocado oil, and butter

We have two more festivals to wrap up the out-of-state festivals of 2026. We will be in TN the first weekend of October and NC the last weekend of October.
And then we will be HOME until April ✨

Why don’t you make doughnuts on more days of the week?

And the real answer…the above 😄 AND there’s alot more bakeshop work than what you see happening out at location.
We are such a small business and do all the work ourselves, along with our incredible crew.

We LOVE what we do.
Being out in the community, making those doughnuts and pretzels absolutely lights us up. We’ve have the best customers/friends.
We adore food.
And we adore the ocean, freediving, and spearfishing.

Well well…we were planning to introduce a new Florida, in-season special this week, but the fall requests are pouring in.
So this weekend, we will make pumpkin doughnuts to get the fall season kicked off 🎃

We will also have the rest of our weekly full menu
• Original Vanilla Glazed Doughnuts
• Snickerdoodle Doughnuts (vanilla glaze + cinnamon sugar)
• Soft Pretzels (salted + buttered)
• Cinnamon Rolls (available one hour after opening)
• WellHouse Spring Water (incredible local Florida water)

We will be at our usual three weekend spots this week.
And then next week we will be out of town, making doughnuts at Runningman Festival.
