After a year and a half of showing up, serving plant-based food, and building community at the 4Roots Farmers Market, we didn’t go yesterday and that says a lot.
We’ve been here since September 2024, before the campus was even open, when we were set up in the YMCA parking lot.
So it’s disappointing to now be told there’s an “underage policy” and that having my daughter with me is suddenly no longer okay.
If you’ve ever visited our booth, you know she’s been part of this from day one. Helping out, learning, and growing right alongside me. This wasn’t just a vending spot for us. It was something we built together.
To now be told that her being there doesn’t fit what’s “best for the community” honestly doesn’t sit right.
We’ve always believed spaces centered around food, wellness, and community should make room for families, not push them out.
To everyone who supported us from those early YMCA parking lot days until now, thank you for real. We’re still here, still cooking, and still building…..just not there anymore.
