My name is Mendy Nash and I am a part-time home baker that loves the creative outlet fulfilled from baking. Celebrations occur during life's most special moments. Each time I am asked to bake for a special occasion I feel grateful for the opportunity. Having a part in others' celebrations is quite special. The Grateful Bakery was created through the positive support from my friends, family and the community.

Last post for the night, I promise...

I don't typically advertise making traditional cookies very often, but have a customer who often requests a dozen of whatever flavor they want at the moment. Sometimes it's oatmeal raisin, sometimes it's chocolate chip. This time they requested chocolate cookies with dark chocolate chips.

Getting feedback like this makes my day and is the entire reason I bake for others- it equals happiness!

I love when customers push my abilities and ask me to do things I've never done- such as a stacked chocolate chip cookie wedding cake (yes, I make chocolate chip cookies)! The bottom layer of cookies are about 8" and the top 6", with layers of buttercream inbetween.

This was such an unconventional design and was fun to do! The whole wedding venue was so much fun!

Lots of posts tonight... I realized I haven't posted any pictures since May! Even though I haven't shared my work, I've been baking when my schedule allows. I will continue to share over the next day or so to get caught up.

Being a part time baker amidst all my other roles makes it hard to keep up sometimes. Thanks, always, for your support and patience with me!
