Hi! I’m Allie, owner of Ginger Cakes and Bakes in Columbus, OH! I haven’t done in introductory in almost two years so I figured I’m due to all of the new followers 🙂
I love creating modern, artistic, romantic wedding cakes custom to my couples. No cake is ever the same and I take a lot of pride in that. I feel it’s incredibly important to connect with my clients rather than just passing off a tasting and waiting to hear from them. I sit down and actually get to know each of you, your love story, and cater your once in a lifetime edible art piece for the biggest day of your life. That’s a BIG DEAL and should be treated as such! 🧡
Some quick facts about me! I have the world’s cutest 3yo curly red headed niece ever. I am a rescue dog mom to a tripod greyhound named Elliot (spelled with two L’s and only one T to symbolize his three legs 😉). I come from a huge family FULL of artists; painters, bakers, interior designers, etc. They are my greatest supporters along with the very best group of friends (I didn’t even come close to including them all here, but they know I love them 🧡). I am first an artist and then a baker. I specialize in portraits and here you’ll see two of my most recent pieces of work! I’ve been attending an art class with my art teacher and sweet friend, Laurie VanBalen, since I was 10. I’ve played volleyball since 3rd grade, love anything outdoors and traveling! Next stop is Austria, Germany, and Sweden to attend my friend’s wedding this month AND make her cake!! Stay tuned!
