We warned you

Most bakeries use food coloring to dye their cakes certain colors. Some colors such as navy blue, deep purples, reds, greens and black will leave a metallic or bitter tastes. Food coloring is typically made from synthetic chemical compounds usually petroleum based. While others can come from natural sources but can at times lack vibrance.

Believe it or not we use a whole bottle of food dye when it comes to our larger cakes.

We recommend sticking to lighter colors as a base for the design. And keeping the darker colors as accents.

Still we love a dramatic cake. We just need to give out a disclaimer so you as the client is aware of the consequences. Plus black or green p**p 💩
