Happy Spring Y'all πΌπΌπΌSure hope everyone has been enjoying the beautiful sunshineπ
The last 10 months have been pretty chaotic and mind boggling, to say the least.
As you are aware from my last post, I have been very busy with my super strong husband. From having a very difficult surgery to begin with to his Chemotherapy regimen. It was tough and the Chemotherapy definitely kicked his butt some days. We got through all four of those treatments and then it was decided that he would then begin Immunotherapy (Tecentriq) for 1 year - One treatment every 21 days. Well we researched this medicine and the side effects were not supposed to be anything major - in fact, a piece of cake after the Chemo. I've began to come to the conclusion that if it can happen, then it will happen to him. As soon as he received the first dose, he had some trouble with itching and being very lethargic. They started checking his blood work and his hemoglobin was starting to get very low and his kidney function numbers were going very high. He just finished his fourth Immunotherapy treatment and he is anemic and is in acute renal failure. In 2 weeks we are going to discuss and weigh the options. Nothing they do has brought his numbers down for the kidney function. His anemia is improving at least. He has had such a very long road, and we have been busy travelling to his appointments.
As things are starting to slow down just a bit, I am going to jump back into doing some baking. I have really missed it and my customers a lot!! This being said, starting May 9th, I will be taking orders once again. I am asking for at least a 2 days notice on most items, and a 10 day notice, at least, for cupcake and cake orders. I will be attaching a new menu. There have been a few changes and unfortunately, because the cost of food items and supplies have increased, I've had to increase my prices just a bit.
I hope to bake you something special very soon. As always, if there is something that is not on the menu that you would like, just ask and I'd be more that happy to do it for you.
Have a GREAT day and I hope to bake you something real soon!!
