Hello hello! We’ve got a few new things for you this week, starting with two new cake donuts for October. Only two you ask? For today, yes—we have another coming but we unfortunately could only be 99% sure that a newly sourced ingredient is free of any possible gluten contamination—so until we are 100% sure and / or source a different option, we’ll need to hold off on that. Safety first.

To start you off we have:

Spiced Chocolate: Warm space cake, whipped chocolate glaze with whipped cream drizzle and a touch of cinnamon.

Pumpkin Latte: Pumpkin cake, pumpkin glaze with an espresso drizzle.

And for lunch we kept the Eggplant Parm on tap due to popular demand, and added its Chicken Parm brethren. Both have fresh mozzarella, a smear of our house made pesto, and tomato sauce on our new seeded hoagie rolls. Here through Sunday. (Both contain dairy, egg, pine nuts, and sesame.)

As always we have our Fresh Apple C***r Donuts (V), Chocolate (V), Birthdaycake, Apple Fritters, Jelly Donuts,. Boston Cream, Creme Brûlée, and our fried-to-order raised donuts.

We’ve got a new hoagie for ya’ll today! It’s our take on the Eggplant Parm—breaded and fried eggplant with fresh mozzarella, a smear of pesto, and a lovely tomato sauce all packaged up in one of our new seeded hoagie rolls. Available all weekend.

Pair that with our Plum donut special - plum compote filled yeasted donut topped with plum glaze, honey ricotta whipped cream, and a plum slice. Yum.

As always everything is 100 Gluten and Soy free. Hoagie roll contains dairy, egg and sesame. Filled donuts contain egg and dairy.

Nothing like a warm sandwich on a rainy September day. One of the core missions of Okie Dokie—besides making amazing donuts—is making gluten-free, celiac-safe savory comfort food that is actually GOOD. And not just food for GF folks to enjoy, but food worth sharing with friends and family—because sharing food is simply a beautiful thing. (More on our mission, our team, and a little ownership introduction coming next week!)

And, well… with all humility momentarily tossed aside, we think we may have outdone ourselves this time.

It started when our friends over at sent us some of their delicious—and GF!—sweet Italian sausage for a little collab.

But there was a problem: none of our current sandwich options could quite deliver the experience of an old-school Italian sausage with grilled onions and peppers on a seeded hoagie roll. So we dove in and developed a GF hoagie roll. THE OKIE DOKIE HOAGIE HAS ARRIVED, FOLKS.

We didn’t feel the need to mess much with the familiar here. Sweet Italian sausage. Grilled onions and peppers. Seeded hoagie roll. That combination has been going strong on its own for a very long time—we’re just extremely happy to contribute a legit GF hoagie roll to complete the classic experience.

(That being said, we HIGHLY recommend our favorite variation: a few generous smears of our toum. Think garlic aioli’s bigger, louder cousin. Neither of them knew it, but toum and Italian sausage were destined to be together. Trust us.)

And we’re extra happy to bring in an old-school Philly sandwich maker for the debut. Thanks again, Rocco’s!

But now that we have a hoagie roll… what next?

An old-school South Philly Italian? Roast pork? Something else entirely?

Donut specials will be back next week, but we’ve still got the entire donut lineup plus breakfast and lunch this weekend. So grab a sausage hoagie, get a Crème Brûlée donut for dessert, and have yourself a very good weekend. ❤️

Good morning Philly! Its a beautiful Fall weekend here and the 10th Annual South Philly Sausage Fest is happening today a block away on Passyunk and Broad Street—lots of vendors, music, food and beverages are available so come take a stroll, check out the fun, and swing over to Okie Dokie for a warm Apple C***r Donut (V) or some of our gluten free snacks and sandwiches. We’ve been hard at work processing fresh apples for our C***r donuts and Apple Fritters—our quintessential Fall treats.

And for the game tomorrow, we’ll have a savory snack pack available for pre-ordering starting at 3pm today—it includes half sheet of Tomato Pie (8 Slices), 10 Wings, 3 Orders of Riz, a Large Fry, and an assortment of our house sauces. Pre-orders open at 3pm today, Saturday—limited quantities so get your order in early!

Today we’ve got our full slate of donuts and savory selections, including quarter sheets (4 slices) of Tomato Pie available.

Well it may not be green, but our Tomato Pie does pair well with a good football game! And today you can get a quarter sheet portion—4 slices. Whether heated up or served room temp, this pie will just as delicious at kick-off or halftime. And feel free to request a sprinkling of Romano (contains dairy).

We’ve got all the other things today as well including our Black and White Special and fried-to-order Apple C***r Donuts (V).

The rain has let up here in South Philly and the sun will hopefully be out soon, so come grab some tomato pie, maybe a double order of Popcorn Chicken and The Riz, some donuts for dessert and you’re in for a pretty sweet Sunday evening. And don’t forget you can pickup frozen, ready to heat Popcorn Chicken and a 6 pack of Riz while you’re here.
